Chess Minis

Sound design for Chess Minis, an online chess platform developed by ex-AAA game developers with the aim to create the most playful, satisfying, and visually striking mobile chess games. 

We recorded over 2000 foley samples of handling chess pieces, different surfaces, and dozens of buttons from vintage radios, boomboxes, and cassette players. All samples were used to create a handcrafted and relaxing sound design.

Our task was to create tangible UI sounds, which give a feeling of having a real device in your hands and make you want to hear it again. Realistic and butter smooth gameplay sounds, make each interaction satisfying and addictive.
